@coregrind: everything trek and bontrager is made by giant in their huge factory in Taiwan so you’re not wrong on that one! It’s great when you have trek snobs who won’t buy giant bikes even though they are the same materials and builders.

I assume they make it in the uk and not the states for two reasons.
1 because that’s where they make everything.
2 because they want it to actually work and not fall apart. Sorry but products made in the us have a terrible reputation for build quality anywhere else in the world. I would go as far as avoiding anything made in the us. Just look at cars for a start!
