Avinox Issues Statement on eBike Power, Speed, and Safety
Does anyone remember when the only person with a motorized bike was that dude who hooked up a weed eater engine to his beach cruiser?

Stephane Pelletier's Predictions for 2026
I'm wondering if someone could build world cup DH and XC tracks that have sections that can't be ridden at all or well on a bike with huge wheels. Isn't there a way to counter the "you can roll over anything with a monster truck" mindset? I'm genuinely asking how can we make trails that are so technical or tight or whatever that bigger wheels aren't actually better.

Video: Episode 3 of 'N1NO BEYOND' with Nino Schurter - Racing on Home Soil Ahead of the 2024 Olympics
Talk about a bit of perspective! It's ironic how the stories I appreciate the most are the ones that remind me of how many more important things there are than mountain biking.

Details Announced for the First Enduro & E-Enduro World Championships
I'm so glad they're including e-Enduro since it takes such a special skill to ride an e-bike. It's very unique. They've really fine tuned their abilities now. But seriously it would be funny if all of the Enduro and DH people entered and won it just to make clear what's going on.

The Pinkbike Podcast: Alicia Leggett on Her Big Crash, Head Injury, & Recovery
I loved this episode and I'm trying to figure out why. I think it was because it felt like Alicia just walked into a room filled with kids and spoke as a mature and thoughtful adult. For me, if we are going to be honest about it, the mountain bike community really struggles to talk honestly about what it's like to have a life changing injury. So often, riders seem to either want to capitalize on injuries or are unable to acknowledge how injuries have changed them permanently. After someone almost dies or finds their lives forever altered, it seems more than mature and reasonable to take a step back, slow down, and evaluate how life will be different going forward. There is a depth and honesty to Alicia's experiences that is refreshing. Thanks for sharing your story and how you are figuring out how to move forward without being foolhardy or denying that life and relationships will be different now. Imagine that is scary to admit out loud but I'm so grateful you did.

The Pinkbike Podcast: Episode 139 - Crankworx Wrap-up and Bikes for the Zombie Apocalypse
Question for the podcast: I've been riding Sram derailleurs for a couple of years but in April I upgraded to their 1x12 set up for the first time. Since then I have bent or broken three GX derailleurs. I tend to ride harder than most and will occasionally slide out or fall and I'm super tired of breaking these stupid parts, mostly bending the cages. There is nothing online about which company's derailleur can take a beating. It's like durability is not even a category for testing these when actually that's the most important thing. I'm hoping you can tell me which derailleur will last the longest with falls and hard riding. Sram? XT? TRP? Your advice could save my marriage or at least my sanity!
