@hamncheez: Classic bevel gears are also, critically, chamfered so the engagement is even between the two rotating centres. Otherwise you either have almost no surface contact, you're trying to spin the 'cassette' at different speeds at the same time, or you have only 1 ratio like a diff.

Speculation Arises Around Wiggle Buyout By German Retail Giant Signa Sports
CRC was the only bike shop to avoid the supply chain issues that have hit the industry; they didn't have anything decent in stock since way before all this happened.

Pinkbike's State of the Sport Full Release
In DH where many people have podium'd without a chain, its not an issue. In Enduro I wonder if there might be a benefit during transitions to deliver riders fresher to each stage, and the potential benefit in XC is very real. Cotic's Updated 125mm FlareMAX Gen4 is for 'Up, Down, Roundabout Country'
One of my buddies got one of the first 30 Jeht, and it is still pristine. Being classic round steel tubes, there's not many little pockets for mud and water to build up on, so it's easy to clean and dry after even the most gopping of rides. Caveat; it has been an unseasonably dry winter & spring, barring a couple of odd weeks, but I'm sure it'll still hold up

We Are One Composites Drops Teaser Info About Made-in-Canada Carbon Frame
@DHhack: I've got it! The next big innovation in cycling: You could pair up that 6/7 speed cassette on the 157 hubs with a selection of 2 or 3 chain rings to give riders the option of increasing that range, or being able to find in-between ratios to keep an even cadence. This might revolutionise the sport...

If people want more greens and blues, that's fine, there's a significant demand for them, but it should never come from removing a red or black level natural trail.
