@dungeonbeast: The loss of downtown and the others from the mountain lodge side was due to a land owner not wanting the liability risk of bikes on their property. It sucks but its not the clubs fault.

I've brought my Norco Torrent up there a few times. Danimal, Flo'rion, Whipsaw, Woopidy West, Garden Brook, and the top half of Overflow, are all super fun on a hardtail. That being said I feel like the best overall bike for up there is a Fuel Ex, Stumpy, or similar 130-140 travel bike. Just my 2 pennies

Field Trip: Norco's $3,149 Torrent HT S1 - A Ground Hugging Hardtail

I have the purple one. I don't have a 27.5 plus wheel set, but it looks like you could stuff a 2.8 in there. There is a lot of mud clearance with the 2.5 Assegais that came stock.
