First Ride: OneUp Launches $599 Aluminum Wheelset
Well someone is trying to deliver an affordable wheelset, that's good. I'm suprised they're not Cross 2 pattern on a 28 spoke rim but they don't have a very large flange.
Perhaps the ratchet ring issue is lube related, or certainly the hardness of the metal. Have you checked just for curiosity?
Yes, some wheels are definitely stiffer and you'll notice, my VFR has Spank rims and Sapim Strong spokes and they are stiff, in fact I could barely flex the bare rim! Wheels are another point of tunability that's likely overlooked.

Hope's New Six-Piston Brake Caliper Stolen from Eurobike Booth
These are bicycle parts, I doubt China needs to "steal" anything. I get parts for my bikes and RC cars, mostly made in China/Taiwan and they're like friggin' jewelry. So other companies rebrand Chinese products, China rebrands its own products, and we think they stole the American design? So who cares, if you got it in your hands you'll know if it's junk or not.
Maybe they should have Loctited the bolts in the display, lol.

Pinkbike Poll: Would You Buy A 32" Wheel Bike?
The question, would I buy one? I doubt it, but I'm not going to complain about 32" wheels. There are still new bikes with about any wheel size you want, I see 20" on adult bikes. My feeling is that I need a different type of bike, not always a mountain bike. 24" BMX, Gravel, serious road bike, hell even a Banana bike!

Pro Bike Secrets: World Cup Tech That Works vs. Marginal Gains
I've found chain lube and upgraded bearings work. With a cup and cone bearing you can upgrade the balls themselves. Besides the material balls are described by their variance in microns, a regular bearing maybe 100, XTR 25 and I use Grade 10. ABEC rating of a cartridge bearing at least 5, but that's not the whole story. Maybe not running half-flat tires?

Neuhaus Releases Production Solstice Hardtail
Am I seeing external cable routing? Bikes like this are like a drink of cold water on a hot day, compared to the Rube Goldberg/Dr. Suess stuff you usually see.

Video: Finn Iles Takes a Vintage MTB for a Lap of Schladming's DH Trails
Very interesting video, I remember a lot of old mountain bikes, having bought my first in '83 or '84 and I still have four bikes with 26" wheels (and more frames). Now, looking at my old bikes (and old stereos) I've come to the conclusion that vintage, as cool as they were, is a fraud! If I claim to love bikes so much why do I still want old crap? What happened to cutting edge technology, improving your ride with better parts? The old geometry is ridiculous now, as were some of the designs. I scoffed at front suspension, until I rode one for 5 minutes, because I was wrong. I scoffed at discs on a bicycle, because I was wrong. Sure, NIB XTR 9-speed parts still make people giddy but it's time, to let it go. All my stereo systems could be replaced with a set of KEF LS50Ws and WiFi! 1980s, WTF is that??? (OK, XTR M900 still rules.)
