At 8 years old, I saved for 4 years & bought a 1997 Specialized Hardrock from REI & rode it for 6 years. College/family happened, but I never lost my love for cycling, became serious about riding again in 2015. I like to mix it up with Enduro, XC & curly bars to keep things interesting.

Burning Question: Where Do Wheel Component Manufacturers Stand on Tire Inserts?
I had 5 wheel failures (& tire) riding a local slab in 12 months time. I've run Rimpact for over a year now, rear tire only, ZERO failures wheel or tire. Prior to Rimpact, I had to maintain 28 PSI in the rear or I was risking a failure (I'm 165lb). Now I run 25 PSI and gasp....EXO casing front/back. Rider weight, terrain, tire choice, all play into these comments and "experiential" anecdotes. Running lower pressures (sub 25psi) for slab riding has immense benefits along with the added protection of an insert - take a poll from the locals in Sedona or Moab where you need the grip on exposure but the protection from brutal square hits as well.

Bike Check: UC Berkeley Students’ Handmade Carbon Mountain Bike
Curious why they decided to choose 120mm front/140mm rear? Was it a more simple design or genuine decision to beta test this format?

Greg Minnaar Joins Norco - Full Interview
I'm impressed that Greg rides "quite a bit" on the road & gravel bike. Once I started riding gravel, it completely changed how I used my brakes on all my bikes. Started cleaning sections on my Enduro I had really struggled with. Curious if Greg found mixing disciplines improved his DH riding or if he just gets in good exercise bc his skillset is already rock solid.
