Review: Berd’s Hawk 30 Wheels Use String Spokes for Impressive Compliance
@wyorider: Most rim manufacturers only spec the target tension without tire, for DT swiss or Raceface its 1200N. So how low do you go?

Tech Tuesday - Troubleshooting Common Shifting Problems
I only recently converted to 12 speed. For me, a properly adjusted SRAM 12 speed lasts for 2 rides or a half day in the bikepark. A small slip out crash, or debris contact results in a slight bend that throws my adjustment off and combined with the play in every bushing that NX derailleur has, I'm not really sure you can call that stuff appropriate for mountain bikes.

DJ Brandt Parts Ways with Nukeproof
@mark-p: Signa Sports United is managed by the Austrian businessman Rene Benko who had already attracted attention in the past due to shabby business methods and who was also investigated for corruption. I think from all the brands under the SSU umbrella, Nukeproof might be one of the most valuable and will live on under another owner.

It's up to the rear tire, because the DHF (no Maxxgrip of course) should roll quite OK?

Pinkbike Primer: The Enduro World Cup Heads to Leogang for the First Time
Really shabby that they didn't build even one new trail for the EWS, all of them are Bikepark trails existing since 10 years and ridden to terminal brake bump condition by the end of the season. The only EWS worthy tech trail is Bergstadl and maybe X-Line because its length requires stamina.

Nukeproof Launches New Horizon Pro Wheel Range
Increased tension of straightpull instead of J-bend is BS. Tension can be exactly the same on both layouts, because the limiting factor is the rim. And stiffness will probably be worse without high hub flanges. Also AlMgSi literally is 6-series aluminum alloy.

Yes the "new standard" 9T and 10T cogs can't be used to put down serious power. That's why the roadies avoid them as well.
