Video: Adam Brayton, Danny Hart & Elliott Heap Go for a Wild Ride on Steep & Slick Trails
@jimijazz: you say tomato. I say tomato.... see, it’s the same when you spell it. Please enlighten me what a bike trail is? Surely a trail that’s been created by riders to ride bikes on...

Video: Rob Warner Takes Danny Hart on his First eMTB Ride & Trains with Adam Brayton & Elliott Heap
@johnnyboy11000: nah, as a lakes local I disagree. There’s a lot of hike a bike and shouldering and I wouldn’t want to carry one. And what o you do when the battery runs out on a mega long ride. You don’t have to have elite fitness to consider any route here, unless you’re massively fat and unfit. I’d say the best place for them are places DH spots so you can ride up forest roads instead of getting an uplift.

Video: MTB on a Budget - Where to Spend VS Where to Save on Clothing
@famesjearnley: I’m afraid you’re incorrect. It’s a case of west verses east. The West Country, wales and the west coast of Scotland get the shit off the Atlantic. The east coast all the way down is colder and drier from the artic. In general that is.

I love cable bay, I used to swim there everyday without fail when we lived there 10 years ago. Shame there’s no shot of the actual bay

Neutron Components Releases 55 Gram, Frame-Mounted First Aid Kit
@mtbtacolover: Hey man, nice kit, good to see someone else hoping for the best but prepared for the worst. I keep it in the plastic wrap not for sterile purposes or anything but just helps it keep contained. Your absolutely right about sometimes one not being enough. But alas I’m trying to keep to just a hip pack these days. But good to see you take it seriously like it deserves. And great idea on the glow sticks. Ordering right now!!!

Neutron Components Releases 55 Gram, Frame-Mounted First Aid Kit
@JosMaple: Totally agree with what matches your needs. I used to live in the city and either ride local trails or go to well ridden spots in the country. Where there’s easy access for ambulances and it wouldn’t be too long before another rider came along the trail. Now I live in a national park and if I go for a solo ride on a miserable wet day in November I won’t see another soul on the hill until I get back to the car. Which is what I’m about to do. Re my kit... to quote alien vs predator “ just like a condom, I would rather have it and not need it, than need it and not have it”. My original post was that simply these small first aid kits are pretty pointless other than patching up a graze... I can live without

There really isn’t much training to be had. Put it on as tight as possible, as high as possible and note the time. There used to be an argument for unwinding time to time to let the blood flow. But the build up of bad blood then circulating back to the heart can kill you. So now the advice is to simply leave it on. Yes if you’re in a war zone where an extraction might not be possible leaving it on for an extended period of time is bad. But we’re talking about until paramedics can get you to hospital. Which in England shouldn’t take that long.
