Frostbike 2018: New Tires, Shoes, and Sealant
I’ve had the free ride pro; low profile, light, casual style, stiff for what they are, grip is good but not Impact good. Wrecked the sole in 3months riding Nukeproof pedals and long pins. The sole rubber is incredibly thin. Maybe it was a ‘Friday afternoon batch’ but the sole did not last well. Came unglued at sides too. Warrantied, got new set. I hope the new Impact Pro and Sam Hill will have better durability and will not have the same weakness due to the weight saving and other alterations. I have a pair of the Adidas trail shoes with harder 5.10 rubber; much better construction, wider toe( if you need that?) but ~20% less grip.

Aaron Gwin Using Box's Shifter and Derailleur?
You could argue that with all Gwins well documented drivetrain problems, he would be the perfect candidate to select a different system to the big two SRAM and Shimano. He is prob more than happy to have the choice.
