First Ride: The 2026 Santa Cruz Tallboy Has Been Fully Reinvented, But Remains a Joy
@cxfahrer2: looking the same for brand recognition is not a negative thing.
I don’t know how it rides as you would need to compare a vpp with a 4bar bike with the same geometry to compare. The old one had a too steep head angle, always.
To me on a 130mm bike VPP seems like a better design choice based on kinematics, I don’t like 4bar bobs on short travel bikes that should feel active. VPP initial High anti-squat results in a efficient and quick ride feel.
I cannot comment on the sizing, not sure how representative the cohort and market share of +190cm ppl is to be honest. To short for that 😂

First Ride: The 2026 Santa Cruz Tallboy Has Been Fully Reinvented, But Remains a Joy
As someone working in product management the decision of killing your platform and ride feel as an established brand with solid market share and positive perception is mind boggling to me. The ride feel and VPP as a design platform for their bikes have been something around for two decades and I as a loyal customer, that likes this ride feel, do not want a generic 4bar from SC. Who does the research in this companies and how do they operate. We have 15 generic 4bar frames, geometries are the same, why on gods earth would you kill your USP as a well established brand?
I knew the ebike we need a 4bar for the motor thing was a Trojan horse tactic to test the water…
I hope this is not ending like Rocky Mountains rebranding to Rocky Mtn. Yikes.
How to kill your loyal customer base by screwing over your USP in 1 step. Done.

Ergon Expands GDH Grips Into 3 Sizes and 7 Colors
After riding Ergon for 10 plus years I switched last year back to ODI. Having this super flimsy plastic insert that breaks at looking at it was the turning point, just a garbage overpriced ergonomic design breaking on sharply looking at it. BS product

Review: Hope Tech 4 V4 Brakes - Strong and Sensitive
Same with my the Clegs. They are 20 years old and still work, nowadays known as Trickstuff. I had the mono 4 as well, always good to see how long lasting good products are. Same with Chris King hubs and headsets… Brands like Hope building things to last is a great thing… running all tech 4 v4 and e4 on my current bikes.

Review: Trickstuff's Maxima Brakes Are Fancy and Finicky
Their old kryptonol Mineral oil is lhm2400, you can easily get that anywhere. Binol is Bio degradable which is great but getting the central gear fluid lhm2400 is super simple. Just to add.

The Fast Suspension DC3 is an Aftermarket Damper for Your RockShox Zeb
Anyone saying ok but I could just get the charger 3 damper does not understand why the hsc on the charger is barely usable. It’s a needle valve resulting in a progressive damper curve. This is a coil preloaded Stack with linear caractetistics for the hsc.

Reichmann's Carbon-Lugged Senduro is Ultra Adjustable
The reason Kerrs frame broke had nothing to do with corrosion. It was the frame that was covered for the media release where the adhesive time was not done in time to shoot the coverage…
