Selling my 2017 Rocky Mountain Vertex 990 RSL "Size XL" cross country mountain bike. I bought this bike new from Trailhead Bicycle Company in Cleveland, TN and it has been used as my primary trail bike since. This bike along with the carbon wheels puts it on the extreme side of XC with cross country race geometry and a twitchy, light, agile feel. Things I have loved about this bike are the ultra light explosive handing, race like geometry and mountain goat climbing abilities. The bike has some nicks and scratches that I will post in the pictures. It also has two different style SLX hand brakes (from different years) that are aesthetically different, but functionally the same. The paint scheme was also only offered in limited batches (usually these frames are Red without the maple leaves) but I got lucky and got this white and black Maple leaf paint scheme. --- Specs on the bike: Roval Control Carbon Wheelset with straight pull DT Swiss hubs, rear is upgraded to the 54t tooth ratchet system which makes it nice and loud. 100mm Rockshox Recon with lockout lever 11 Speed XT Shifter with 11-42 Cassette 32T Race Face Aeffect cranks 680mm straight bars KS Lev Dropper post with a Specialized Phenom saddle SLX Brakes Tubeless Maxxis Ikons 29x2.2 The bike comes in at 22.4lbs without pedals.
