Letter from the Editor: Pinkbike’s Next Chapter with Outside

It don't really matter what any of you think or say, what's done is done. PB sold it's soul so it's originator can ride comfortably off into the sunset, while we get more corporate approved media shoved down our throats. The staff can spin it any way they want, but we all know how this goes. Outside will make you pay for any content that's worth a crap and PB will become the next MB Action. Of course the staff is happy ! Now they can get a reliable paycheck. Good for them of course, but bad for us, as yet another mostly " independent" form of media bites the dust.

That On One is a 456evo2, NOT a Big Dog, or a Hello Dave. They are an older model. Not as radical in the geometry, but progressive at the time they were designed. I had one . Great bike.

@JeffreyJim: It's not an XC test though! Widely accepted category or not, it's listed as " Downcountry" for this comparison, not "XC", so your critique on the testing procedure is a moot point. I find it quite informative to see how an over forked xc bike stacks up against bikes like the Trail Pistol. If I wanted to see an XC shootout I'd read one in Mountain Bike Action. More interesting to me is to see if a jacked up XC bike would be faster than a detuned trail bike on real world trails.
