Specialized Slaughter Tire - First Ride
Im ok with the fact that 650b is the new 'standard' and 26 is being replaced, I can live with that, things change and thank fuck they do or we would all be riding rigid bikes with v brakes and narrow bars! When its time for me to buy a new bike, there is no doubt I will buy a 650b of some description. Does piss me off when companies stop supporting the current crop of standards! 11 speed is the new standard for drive train but its not like Sram and Shimano have stopped making 10 speed, or 9 speed for that matter! In fact, Shimano still make 6 and 7 speed parts! Fine, they are budget low quality shit, but they are still there to be used on working bikes that need replacements and 7 speed was OLD a long time ago! There must be a shit load of people out there who own 26" wheeled Specialized bikes that would like to stick with Specialized replacement parts (Me included) but I guess I will just have to send my money in Maxxis direction. Maybe Specialized should find out how many people currently own 26" Specialized bikes from whatever year and compare that to how many 29ers they have sold in the past 5 before they stop supporting their customers!

Trek Fuel EX 9.8 ltd edition frame set

$1000 GBP
For sale is my ltd edition Trek Fuel EX 9.8 frameset. It is a 2014 model that I brought in December as a frame set and built it up from there! Below is a list of whats included in this sale (For sale as complete bike here http://www.pinkbike.com/buysell/1569500/ ) Frame: Ltd edition Trek Fuel EX 9.8 in candy green. 130mm travel. Only 50 of each size produced for the world so its extremely limited in numbers. Comes with the Fox CTD DRCV shock. Size is 18.5 (Virtual) and 17.5 (Effective). Im 5'11" and fits me a treat! Have a look at the Trek website for geometry. http://www.trekbikes.com/uk/en/bikes/mountain/singletrack_trail/fuel_ex/fuel_ex_9_8_uk/# Fork: Fox CTD DRCV 32 Float in white. 130mm travel Seatpost: Rockshox Reverb Stealth (125mm) set up under the left hand brake lever (Right hand push button installed up side down) Headset: Trek (with Cane Creek bearings) BB: PF92 bearings for Shimano chainsets included The frame set cost me £1700 in December which makes this asking price a bargain! This is an awesome bike and I DO NOT want to sell it. Unfortunately I need the money for some 'non cycling' problems and something has to go! Bike has served me really well on anything from long days in the saddle around the Surrey Hills to uplift days at Bike Park Wales! I am open to SERIOUS price offers but please no time wasters! I'm flexible for a 'quick sale'! Thanks for looking and any questions please ask! Trev
