i thought canyon already tried a similar ‘double decker’ handlebar in the original grail and found that most people hated them? I’m all for innovation but there comes a point where your forcing the issue down people’s throats.

why do we insist on making this comparison every emtb article. they are not comparable items. a motorcycle can not be ridden on mountain bike trails and so therefore is not a direct replacement. if u want to be logical about this an emtb can at least be ridden on roads.
the amount of times we are told that mtbs cost equivalent prices because of r&d, identical materials to a motorcycle, multiple sizes unlike a motorcycle (costs more to produce multiple sizes) electronics like a motorcycle and u still don’t understand why they cost similar prices.
most people who buy emtbs are elderly, disabled or parents looking to find more laps/time to ride their bikes. none of these clientele are interested in owning a motorcycle.

this might be a little out there, but air forces have a massive toe box and are comparable in price to 510s. flat base is good for pedal grip and they come in half sizes too. (my comment is completely irrelevant if u run clips tho)

@AndrewFleming: why would you make your life harder to pedal by choosing one gear when u can have multiple gears. not all riders ride the same line so some will need the gears for the lines they built and some won’t. as you said, they are custom set ups for a very specific riding event.

from my understanding, some sections of peoples lines require a little pedalling so multiple gears helps to keep speed up. shorter cranks r preferred, think 165, that’s to avoid rock strikes similar to dh.

not sure why sram would update its groupers but not update the battery location in xo/xx. why not relocate the battery behind the upper cage like how it is on gx transmission.
