Pinkbike Poll: Which Tech Trends Are In Your Riding Future?
I've thought about several things along those lines and done a few things to make awesome older frames have a little newer geometry, but the geometry gets weird at a certain point. For instance, offset bushing may take out your fork a bit and lower your BB, but then you have to compensate for the worse seat tube angle. A setback seatpost mounted backwards fixes that, but then you've decrease your reach and there's no real solution to that since long stems create they're own awkwardness. I ended up dedicating one of my bikes to my wife who's 5'3 because of those attempts to alter geo on an old Hollowpoint MTX. Still an awesome bike, but its pretty much went down a size or 2 in the process.

Pinkbike Poll: Which Tech Trends Are In Your Riding Future?
I'd love to try a few of these (belt drive, gearbox, etc), but if I'm honest it'll be a long time. I just bought a new frame to build up and it's a 2013 GT Distortion. While I am gonna slap a 27.5" wheel up front, I'm running about 12 years behind the industry, just graduating to tapered steerers. Maybe in my fifties I'll be able to afford something cool from the 2020s.

One Guerilla Ghetto tubeless wheel down, one to go. 3 to go if I ride it and like it. Had to use a ratchet strap and remove the valve core to get it to seal...pita.
