The Privateer: Do You Need to Race to Be a Pro Mountain Biker?
For me it started as a hobby (for 20 years). 10 years ago by coincidence it tuned into a full time job where I can ride my job and build trails for a living. I have not looked back but sometimes I must admit I need to pay attention to the hobby part of it to keep it alive. That's when I'm building backyard trails or enjoy epic adventures like Trans Provence, Off Road Finnmark or just riding trails with friends or kids.

Review: Santa Cruz's All-New Tallboy Trail Bike
I would call it a cross country bike for the people = just about everybody except xc competition riders.

Review: Santa Cruz's All-New Tallboy Trail Bike
@Jeff197206: in Denmark it's not a problem. The service is flawless. Where do you live?

SRAM X-Sync 2 Oval Chainrings - Review
@Racer951: I'm not talking about wearing the clutch. But it takes a small amount of power to make the rear mech move back and forth. Especially when you use a mech with clutch. It's like when your suspension is much more efficient when you're riding without a chain. And yes, I have been riding with different types of oval rings.

SRAM X-Sync 2 Oval Chainrings - Review
Oval chain rings and clutch does not make sense. Every pedal stroke makes the rear mech move and you are wasting your precious watts.

They are all ready in the shops. One of my sons has a pair and really likes them.

The Adventure Starts: Mavic Trans-Provence 2017
It's an old picture. One of the doctors this year is riding a Santa Cruz Hightower and the other one an E-MTB (pretty good choice for that purpose). By the way, TP is an amazing blend of all the good things about mountain biking. Amazing trails, friendly and relaxed atmosphere, blind riding, big adventures and good service from the staff and the mechanic's from Mavic. A perfect way to spend a holiday on a mountain bike.
