Interview: Tom Pidcock & Pinarello's MTB Product Team on Developing a Pure XC Race Bike & More
"There's definitely some rumors and some complaints about from some of the best athletes about how the evolution of cross-country racing bike is going. A bit too commercial, if you want to say so. Not designed for top athletes, but more for the average guy." I guess this is what you have to do to sell bikes. Make them for the average guy.

First Ride: Maxxis Highroller III Tire - DH Race Ready
@DMFT: I have three bikes with Spesh tires. Purg v3 T7/Ground Control T5, Eliminator/V2 Purg T5, and Butcher/Eliminator Grid. None have weeping sealant...and I paid $35 per tire when on sale. Maxxis for me...offers no additional benefits for the large price increase.

Review: Forge+Bond Shift EM - A US-Made Carbon Wheelset for $1250
I recently got a new "take off" set of the XM1700 from the classifieds for $330 shipped. They came with new rotors too. Not a single mark on them. I also don't see the point of heavier composite wheels that are some 200gr heavier and more expensive than aluminum.

Pinkbike Poll: How Far Are You Willing to Drive to a Bike Park?
Mammoth is about 300 miles each way. I'll go once or twice a year. The "local" parks are about a 120 miles one way. Mountain High will be opening in a couple months...and they are about 67 miles. I can get there in under 1.5 hours. Can't wait for it to open.

Leatt Launch Magnesium Pedals, Stems and Bar-Grip Combos - Eurobike 2024
@justanotherusername: because each time the product changes hands...the price goes up. This was some time ago...but I remember seeing costs for a $60 MSRP 3T road bike stem. The original cost from the manufacturer is somewhere around $5. I had a spreadsheet for 3T and FSA parts pricing. These parts were coming out of Taiwan.

Video: Do You Ride a Mudguard in the Bike Park? | Pinkbike Weekly Show Ep. 27
Same here. Keeps the rocks from getting flung up on me. I prefer the bolt one ones. The ones that zip tie to the fork ruins the contact surface over time.

Pinkbike Poll: What Do You Look For In a Clipless Pedal?
On the XTR XC and XT Trail for the last several years. They work. My GF has been using the Crank Bros Candy for the same amount of time and they work for her. I also ran Eggbeaters before the Shimano...they worked just fine.

Value Field Test: Cannondale Habit 4 - Good Geometry, Not So Good Components
The parts on this bike are the result of hanging parts on a bike for nothing more than to hit a base price.

Now THAT Was a Bike: 2016 Pole Evolink
This is what happens when you're too far ahead of the curve. They made a future proof bike. Then to "innovate" they had to completely go off the rails...just to not have it work out.
