Staff Ride: Matt Beer's NZ MTB Rally-Spec Ibis HD6
@tmwjr777: Just a guess, but maybe its a taller person thing. Where the saddle is higher than the bar. Saddle tilt depends on how your pelvis tilts. I'm on the shorter side where I have trouble getting my bar low enough. My grips sit is just about level with the saddle...I think its a bit higher than the saddle. There is no way I'd be able to ride a bike with the saddle pointing towards the ground. I'd be using a ton of effort just to hold myself from falling forward. My neck and shoulders would be hurting. Also with bikes getting super long and slack...you have to run a really short stem...which would requite more weight on the front when climbing. Again...just speculating.

DVO Introduces New Diamond Fork
@Speedychad: I have a 2020 Diamond D1 and a 2022 Fox Factory 36. The Fox feels harsh compared to the DVO. There is no adjustment on the Grip 2 that can make it feel less harsh.

How to Watch the 2024 Mountain Bike World Cup [Update: Staylive Offering Access in New Zealand, South Africa & More]
@W3fty: I don't think there are any MTB racing from last year...but if I scroll down far enough...I'm able to see replays for a lot of road racing...and the dates for the upcoming XCO races.

Ok...nevermind. I can see bike replays. Just not NBA and other major league games.

How to Watch the 2024 Mountain Bike World Cup [Update: Staylive Offering Access in New Zealand, South Africa & More]
I have a Max subscription...and I do see the mountain bike events starting on 4/13...but all the sporting events I get on Max are all "live". I don't have an option to see replays.

Bike Check: Craig Evans' Airdrop Edit V5
@rickyvic: The thing with bikes that are too long, is that they become too hard to control. My arms start to loose range of motion. They are too often on the extended position and the bike just pulls me down the hill. To compensate for the too long reach...I have to use an excessively short stem. Combine the super short stem and slack front end...the bike becomes really difficult to handle. This is probably why enduro riders size down now. The long and slack bikes are more difficult to get around turns vs a slack...but shorter bike. The "medium" Knolly Chilcotin has a reach of 480mm. I ride mediums across most brands...there is no way I can ride a bike with a 480mm reach.

Review: Knolly Chilcotin 170 - They Haven't Just Straightened the Top Tube
@Noelbuckley: Hi Noel. Thanks for the reply. The issue for me with long reach bikes is that it feels too stretched when out of the saddle. It feels like the bike is pulling me along. Using a short stem with a slack bike has me feeling like I have to put a lot of my weight over the front wheel. Having ridden longer bikes...at least for me...~450 feels like its around my upper limit. I've looked at sizing down on certain brands...but the extreme steep eSTA's...makes the ETT really short.

Review: Knolly Chilcotin 170 - They Haven't Just Straightened the Top Tube
I had to look a couple times...the "small" has a 458 reach and 597 ETT. I'm 5'8" (173cm)...and that reach is on the upper limit of what I can ride. My medium has a reach of 450mm. I'm using a 40mm stem. I prefer a 50mm. PB and NSMB recently have articles saying that shorter riders are being sized out of the market.

Henry's Waffle House: All-Mountain Bikes Are Back, and They're More Pointless Than Ever
@porkchopsandwich: This is like an anywhere thing...like here in the So Cal suburbs. I have a neighbor that went from a small sedan to a lifted Dodge Ram. I have yet to see him put anything in the bed of the truck. The guy just uses it to commute to work and back. Here I am putting two bikes on the back of my small hatchback...that also doubles as my "SUV". These trucks are so massive...some have a camera in the front grill...because they can't see anything directly in front of them.
