@Maxcommencemal: I could be mistaken, but I think you're looking at Fernando Juan Muñoz, not Velez. Velez hasn't raced at any DHI WC's this year (or ever, based on his R&R profile). Pretty sure he's never been at a WC DH...

@Hobbitracing: I'm talking about a small undershoot and you already knew that. It obliterates your argument so you're pretending I meant Brendog would be fine if he hit his canyon gap with exactly half the speed needed to clear the thing. Come on man. How about a little objectivity?
The canyon gap is obviously dangerous, no one is arguing that. But he could case it by a couple feet and likely ride out, maybe even without any mechanicals. We saw exactly what happens when someone cases a huge step down last year with Strait. Why are you trying to make stuff up to help your argument? Is it so hard to admit someone may have a good point?
