I would imagine that in some cases in can cause a mismatch in suspension feel, like the other commenter said with their boxxer and xfusion combo, but I don’t think it necessarily has to. I’ve got a lyrik and a ttx air on one of my bikes, and they work together quite well with very little dialing in.

Review: Forbidden Druid - Travel is Just a Number
@paulsendavidjay: I disagree - I have a Ripmo AF and a Druid V1, and the suspension on the Druid feels better in basically every way. Sure, hit a big enough drop to flat and you’re gonna bottom out, but even bottoming out feels better on the Druid than the Ripmo and happens less often for me.
