What a fantastic career Bec has had. She's probably the rider who holds herself to account the most too, digging deep every race. Blaming noone when there was a bad result, and thanking everyone when she had a good one. The road will be a cool switch, I wish her well!

There's always been heaps of spinal/neck/back injuries. I think we're just getting unprecedented access to the blow by blow accounts of riders injuries, so it feels like it's a more common occurrence. Man, I do hope Fabian recovers. He is true statesman of our sport

I watched Paul Bas's crash too, that ended my enthusiasm for the event. Compounded by the absolutely moronic way its judged and produced - making the injuries basically in vain. I agree with everything else you've said too.
