A carbon rim would take a lot more force for it to get to the point where it gets damaged, but still like you said if you do get to that point it's not repairable. Well of course there's the lifetime warranty aspect of the rims, but warranty aint gonna help for shit if you're stuck trailside in an EDR and need a working rim then and there lmao

Lewis LHP+ U4 Brake Review: All Bark, No Bite?
By doing a gravity bleed sometimes air is trapped somewhere in the lever resevoir. If you store the bike vertically some of that air can end up in the brake hoses. I fix this by rocking the bike left and right with a funnel to get all the air out. Or just do a full bleed, close the caliper and pull a vacuum at the lever.
