Bird Aeris

$500 GBP
Hi, I'm selling my Bird Aeris 1.5 as I've bought a new bike. I've owned the bike for two years and its been a delight to ride, its super fun. The frame is pretty solid, having just had a full bearing change, however has some cosmetic scratches. The frame also comes with a canecreek headset, hope BB, Maxle and hope seat clamp. The shock has also been recently serviced so is pretty much ready to ride once built. Willing to ship around mainland UK at buyers cost, happy for local pickup from manchester. Thanks Andrew

@vinay: I would be interested to hear the EWS' point of view on the UCI's involvement after 1+ year involvement.

Review: Enve’s M735E Wheels Fail Our Test
"The Chris King hub is spec’d for the E-MTB build because it passes all the durability/reliability requirements for use with E-MTB." Shame the rim doesn't pass all the durability/reliability requirements.

BIRD AERIS 27.5" Large

$1800 GBP
The Aeris is an adjustable travel trail bike. It has sleek lines, bob-free pedalling and progressive shock curve which combines to make the hardest hitting yet pedal friendly 150mm travel bike around. The Aeris has been designed for UK mountain riding, taking in trail centres and back-country riding. Geometry is the secret sauce, its long, slack, and low. It’s not one of these on its own that makes the Aeris so special though, its bringing them together in a single package, adding progressive, poppy suspension with custom tuned shocks that makes the Bird Aeris the most exciting bike to come out of the UK for some time! The Aeris frame offers 2 travel positions, 140 and 150mm but the same geo in both. What changes is the progression of the shock. 140mm is less progressive for an improved trail feel – supple traction across the whole travel, with just enough progression to prevent wallowing, while the 150mm mode adds progression to resist bottom out and prevent wallowing even further. Aeris frames are not tall. The biggest is 19.5 – thats still plenty big enough for even the tallest of riders, as a 150mm Reverb needs at least 7″ of seatpost showing (with another 7″ on tap!), and the reach and ETT are perfect for big riders. By keeping the frames low, we reduce weight, and improve handling. Simple really. The shock position and top tube on each size is in the same place. We designed a great linkage system, and we want to keep it that way. By using the same dropped TT and increasing seat tube brace size we ensure that the perfect shock curve of the Aeris is the same on every bike. The Aeris runs external full hose routing. We don’t like internal routing because we’re British, and it rains. Alot. Internal routing is the bane of mechanics everywhere. We also offer dual routing on the downtube so left or right reverb, UK or rest-of-the-world brakes, there’s a perfect cable and hose routing for your set up on the Aeris. THIS REALLY IS AN AWESOME BIKE WITH A PERFORMANCE TO RIVAL ITS LOOKS. IT'S BEEN KEPT IN GOOD CONDITION AND SERVICED AND MAINTAINED REGULARLY. IT HAS THE USUAL MARKS THAT YOU'D EXPECT FROM RIDING/RACING. SPEC Shock - Rock Shox Monarch Plus RC3 DebonAir 216x63mm, serviced in March by TF tuned Fork - Rock Shox Pike 27,5" 15QR with COIL CONVERSION (I cannot express how awesome this conversion is to ride), serviced in March by TF tuned when the conversion kit was installed Stem - Raceface Aeffect Handlebar - Raceface SIXC Carbon Crankset - SRAM GX 1x11 Brakes - SRAM Guide R, bled and serviced in April Seatpost - Rock Shox Reverb Stealth, bled and serviced in April Saddle – Charge Grips - Race Face Cassette - SRAM GX Wheelset - SRAM Roam 27.5" bearings and free hub serviced in March Shifter - SRAM GX 1x11 Rear Derailleur - SRAM GX 11 speed & spare one included Chainguide - Trail X Blackspire No Pedals included, and tyres may differ to picture SIZE - LARGE (19") I'm 5'10" and it feels really good, my brother also has a large and is a little taller than me.
