Fox Files Patent For Strain Wave-Based Dual Motor eCVT
Anyone know how efficient a ectv system is?
I know it needs power to work but when powered are the just as a efficient as a normal ebike or would you drain your battery faster?

@Parkershark: I have tq50. Ride in the mountains and do about 1200m vertical on a ride with extender and dh tires. I think 360wh battery would be enough for you. Even if you put it in trail mode it's quite powerful.
you will probably get 2 hours out of the battery in max power. Also tire choose makes a big difference. And you weight. My gf is 50kg and she can ride just as far as me on 320wh when I'm on the 540wh. Im 83 kg.

@Dougal-SC: I'm 83 kg and run 65 spring @180mm with a Sag of 22% and c50 tune. Thinking about going to 70 to get the Sag under 20%.
The fork is super supple and sensitive so using a 60 spring sounds soft.
Vorsprungs recommendation was 55.

No, you should never mix two different fiber materials. Then you get the worst of two materials.
You don't have to worry about galvanic corrosion. The resin takes care of that problem.
Just like when you mount a carbon handlebar on an aluminium steam.

Review: Forbidden Druid - Travel is Just a Number
My cracked the first time I sat on it, like the first 10m of riding. And I had lots of other problems. They really need to have better quality control. I'm selling mine because I'm tired of spending more time fixing the bike then riding it.
