@jjg7000: Can't agree more on this. I've had high end $200 jerseys and similarly priced shorts which were fine enough. Nothing ultimately superior. Two years ago I ended up spending $16 on a 3 pack of "athletic" shirts from costco which are just as good in terms of performance and feel/ comfort. Plus they're not branded which is a huge plus for me. I've done tones of personal testing with "performance" socks over the years too. Turns out the cheap columbia multi pack socks from costco are just as good as the high end bike specific ones and are a fraction of the price.

@trail-earnhardt: Don't want to stir the pot, but I'd have to respectfully disagree. I've had my MT7's for 5+ years now and only had to bleed them two times. They've been the best performing, most powerful, and most consistent brakes that I've had in 30+ years of riding. (I've also ridden Hope, Shimano, Tektro, TRP, and Sram). I had a crash a few years ago where I hit a tree at ~50kmh rear brake lever first. My chest ended up hitting the bar at the brake lever as well and I broke a few ribs. The bark and a chunk of the tree was missing, but the lever was perfectly fine. Didn't have to bleed the brake for another couple of years. Can't say enough good things about the MT7's. Just have to make sure you don't tighten em down too much.

How much extra are we going to have to pay for this?

@Struggleteam: I watched (and paid for) the first season post Redbull and it seemed like the same coverage, but with worse commentary and I had to pay for it. Not an upgrade in my books. Now the price has jumped again (and will likely continue to rise as no price seems to stay the same in a growth economy - but that's just personal speculation here), and I'm not willing to pay even more for the same thing I used to watch, and enjoy immensely, for free. I don't have cable or subscribe to anything that would give me the channel to watch WC DH. Having paid for it once before, the process was clunky, frustrating, and off-putting. IMO, Redbull had it right. Click on the app (I watched on Apple TV), go to live events, watch for free. Simple. Didn't have to sign up for anything, nothing out of pocket. Races and commentary were great, coverage was pretty good. Happy to watch the recaps and top 3 runs on Youtube for free going forward.

@sfarnum: I am aware that Rob and Elliot are contracted to Redbull. The implication of my comment was that I'd like to see coverage of WC races back with Redbull which would thus have Rob and Eliot back at the commentary helm. This is just my personal opinion/ wishes which bear absolutely no weight on the sport whatsoever.

@Struggleteam: I'm not boycotting because of commentary. I'm choosing not to watch because it's too bloody expensive in my eyes. I'm happy watching the recap and any other free videos on Youtube. And wanker-ish or not, if someone wanted to abstain from watching an event due to commentary alone, that's their choice and they're entitled to it.

@wolftwenty1: Nope. Why would I comment on something I know nothing about? Also, stoked that I have a below threshold comment, that's a first for me (as far as I know) lol.

Won't be watching again until WB is no longer involved. Also, bring back Warner and Jackson.

If one wanted to desperately avoid accidentally pirating the whole WC on an Apple device, what specific steps would I want to avoid? I want to avoid stumbling into this at all costs.
