@KJP1230: I´d happily replace a bent chainring but smashing and bending the bikes backbone (or frontbone, is this even a word? sound funny though) is something else ;-) But sure the guys at Specialized had that in mind and will provide some kind of protection, or if not it might not be an issue at all....

not sure about the linkage dangling down below the BB of the new Demo. Sure they tested it a lot, but it still feels like prone to catch a rock or smashing into stuff...
