Drivetrain Parts from Lesser-Known Companies - Sea Otter 2021
I love my prime 9. I put it on my kid's bike to replace an old 9 speed setup he couldn't crank uphill on the dirt. After a year of him riding it and wrecking it I put a prime 9 setup on my stache an haven't looked back. It's durable and works well. I hope to see more companies throwing box and microshift drivetrains in lower tier bikes to get them better suspension while keeping those lower price points.

Rockshox Lyrik RC

$300 USD
2019 Rockshox Lyrik RC takeoff from Trek Remedy 8. A little over 6 & 3/4" steerer tube left. Some blemishes on lowers as well as some scratches on right stanchion near the upper end of travel that have been sanded and repaired with some nail polish by a shop. You can feel them but they haven't worn the seals. I scratched it last year and rode it all this summer with no issues.

SRAM to Introduce a $15 Universal Derailleur Hanger - Eurobike 2019
It would be amazing to have all of my bikes and my kids' bikes using the same derailleur hangers so I don't have to keep 6 different hangers in the house. I've already simplified the brake setups to Shimano on the kids' bikes so I don't have to do much in the way of regular maintenance and Sram on mine until I get around to buying a set of TRPs. I love the feel of my guide RSCs but I hate how frequently I have to bleed them compared to the Shimano stuff on the kids' bikes.

Video: Winning Runs - Snowshoe DH World Cup 2019
Greenland's run was super smooth. I was impressed after watching him eat it on one of the rock drops in practice the day before. I was surprised his time wasn't that fast, comparitevly speaking. The women's race was insane with Tahnee taking the lead by almost 7 seconds then almost every other racer that came after her beat her time.

@Isey: Probably true for divorced people/single parents/parents with custody agreements. Not so much for two parent families.

@shredddr: I brought her with me! She's tired and cranky after walking the course and watching qualifying runs today but that's nothing a bottle of wine won't fix.

Less than 24 hours until I'm a bad parent and pull the kids out of school and head across the state line for the weekend. Can't wait to actually see a WC race in person. Next step, family trip to Ft Bill for a WC race!

Interview: Yoann Barelli on His First Major Injury
@korev: My PT said I'll be allowed to hit the stationary bike in the next week or two and work towards 40 minutes on it at each session. I just got the big brace off this week but my meniscus gets angry any time I go past 50° while under load. ACL injury is the pits.
