I couldn't imagine this happening because of the lack of established race support and how much importance he puts on being comfortable on his bike. One possibility is that he could join SRAM & TLDs team...but he's shown a pretty much unflinching commitment to using Fox Shox so I also don't see that happening either.

I'd like to know too. Im guessing companies built it into their contracts that they don't want amounts publicly disclosed because then it would be easier for riders to leverage raises, and because most bike/component companies are privately held they won't have the same disclosure rules that publicly held companies would...or because other sports have salary caps they are more willing to disclose how much is paid (random guess).

Im guessing they are going to keep at least some of them, and maybe have some of them flip to Enduro...maybe. But keeping a team of 6 or 8 people is pretty big and expensive.

EWS Video: Big Company, Fresh Challenges - Specialized Team Focus
Well Curtis' first couple of seasons have been disappointing, but I think its been a shitty combination of injuries, illness and just bad luck. I personally think it is worth the time to see in the next couple of years if Curtis can develop into a more consistent rider. Im also guessing Specialized doesn't want to throw Aaron Gwin money at someone right now, and is happy with a small team with a lot of personality. They even say in the video, selling mountain bikes and sponsoring in this discipline is more about character than winning, at least relatively to road bikes.

Injury Update - Sam Hill
Bummer for Sam, but all the injuries to top riders like him, Ratboy, Steve Smith, and Gee really works in Gwin's favor. If he is able to dominate the first half of the season he may be able to ride those points to an overall victory...though there is always Bruni, Troy, etc. to challenge him.

Haha, they were posting quotes on their Instagram account from this video and I was thinking to myself that they probably either A. won't post that one, or B. have a pretty good sense of of humor and post it.
Regardless, Im really digging their new designs. Post acquisition, they seem to have really stripped down their product line in terms of quantity and variety. Plus they seem to be focused on just mountain biking instead of urban and MTB. Hopefully they do well because I really liked the Sombrio gear I have.
