Niner Announces New Lifetime Warranty
A lot of undue hate on Niner. I bought a used Niner Jet 9 RDO IMBA edition from a local who had the bike sit on show room floor. After a few rides, the seat tube had some paint/carbon delaminate from the front derailleur area. I hit them up and asked for a new frame since this was a known defect on that year. Although I was the second owner who bought used, they sent me a brand new frame after I made my case. Bike rides great, fast and nimble, and best pedaling platform I have ridden.

Pinkbike Poll: Would You Rather Be Over-Biked or Under-Biked?
Under biked with 130/120 yet still in top 5-10% on downhill parts of trails here in California. If you really want to get good, start with a hardtail and learn technical skills.

Field Test: 2020 Rocky Mountain Slayer Carbon 90 - The One That Broke
Had a same exact failure on my niner jet 9 rdo but with the SRAM Maxle. Luckily I didn't crash or break my rear triangle. Called SRAM USA to tell them about it and hopefully get a replacement. Warranty guy got all offended about me mentioning their maxle was defective and would not honor warranty.

An awesome bike for local Southern California trails that is light, responsive, and absurdly fast. Frame was replaced by niner for cosmetic paint cracks, frame about 10 months old. Upgraded to 2019 Fox rhyhm 34 fork to work better for the XL rider. KS dropper fully rebuilt works flawlessly with no slop. Brand new Shimano XT brakes with ice tech rotors. New DT SWISS M1700 all mountain wheels with ratchet DT SWISS 350 hubs, currently set up with inner tubes. Brand new XT rear derailleur with clutch and new cassette/chainrings. All suspension bearings are new. There are 2 bottle cage mounts on this bike for those long epic day rides or races. Bike is ready to ride!! This bike is awesome and their is a lot of great upgrades to it. I wish I could keep it but my bike storage is limited so I unfortunately have to let it go. The EWS Announces an eMTB Race Series for 2020
As someone who owns an e-bike and built two from the ground up, e-bikes can fck off from local trails. Great for commuting and getting around downtown San Diego and ripping a shortcut here and there but the last thing I want is an inexperienced noob on an ebike flying at me on a local trail I ride my regular full suspension at. Also, there are way too many people on the trail as is, more inexperienced riders is not helping anyone. My ebike is freakin awesome cause I built it and keep it for around town rippin!
