Selling my 2021 Bird Aether 9 XL frame. 130mm rear travel, designed around a 140 or 150mm fork. I ordered this brand new from the UK in 2021 and have loved it ever since. The geometry was probably 3-4 years ahead of its time. I'm 6'4" and it fits me like a glove. It can fit a 240mm dropper post fully inserted! The bike rails corners and is poppy and playful. Really well suited to flow trails and steep loamers, but it's also way more planted and composed than the travel number would suggest - probably due to the coil shock. It's a solid climber, and I really enjoyed long days of pedaling it. It's a really fun bike, but it's time for me to get something with more travel. I replaced all of the suspension bearings with Enduro Max at the beginning of 2026, and also upgraded the rear shock bushing to a roller bearing kit from RWC. Low hours since this refresh. The bottom of the downtube is lined with helicopter tape. VHS slapper tape is installed on the chainstay. I installed a rivnut on the top of the downtube for mounting an accessory strap. You can fit a full 26oz bottle at the same time. Leave the backpack at home! The frame is in great mechanical condition, but it does have a fair amount of paint chips, scratches, and cable rub. I tried to show the worst of it in the photos. No dents or structural damage. Selling this used Race Face Turbine cinch crankset with Wolf Tooth chainring. The crank arms are in great shape. Just some shoe rub and a few scratches here and there. I used crank boots, so the ends of the arms aren’t all chewed up.The chainring has plenty of life left in it. Please note a BB is not included.
