It's tough to beat stories told through pictures. Videos are cool but I much prefer this. Awesome all around.

Jul 25, 2023RockShox Monarch Plus RC3 200x57
$195 USD2017 RockShox Monarch Plus RC3 with Debonair Air Sleeve. It's an older but new take off but has no tags so selected "Excellent" condition. Shock has never been ridden. I did put it on a bike to ensure proper function prior to listing. 200mm x 57mm (7.875" x 2.25") with 22mm x 8mm hardware both ends.

May 14, 2023Revel Rail 27
$2300 USDRevel Rail 27. Size Small. 165mm rear travel. I bought this new from Revel in the Fall of 2021. The frame is in excellent mechanical condition but it has some cosmetic blemishes from regular wear and tear that I have shown in the photos. Overall the frame is in very good condition. The PUSH Elevensix shock is built for a 140lb. rider and is in excellent condition. 375 and 400lb/in. springs. Includes rear axle and Cane Creek Forty headset. $1500 with out shock OBO.

Interview: Talking About Tires With Maxxis, Schwalbe, Continental, WTB, & Others
@Eatsdirt: right, but you (most likely) wouldn't set your suspension up so that it limited your available travel or made your bump performance harsh, which it sounds like is what they were experiencing with some of their riders using inserts (not getting full use of the tire height or travel and still getting rim strikes, harsh.) I dunno, the analogy makes sense to me though. Fun stuff to think about.

I think it is a good analogy. Tires are kind of the first form of suspension. They physically come in contact with the trail and respond to the terrain.
