@vitaflo: in my experience most don’t use the appropriate etiquette and e-bikes have simply made what were once awesome uncrowded trails into crowded shit trails. The guys that worked to build systems built many before e-bikes and like myself no longer care to maintain them now that the hard work it once took to ride them is gone. My gripe is and always has been access I am an old asshole and don’t want people to ride what I ride if they didn’t work to get there. Long climbs make for less crowds. Or at least they did.

I was sad to see YT shit the bed but certainly wasn’t emotional about it and am not overly concerned about the way it all played out. Lots of people are seem pissed and probably justifiably about how this particular industry seems to function. There also seems to be some distaste for manipulating capitalism. Which is also justified. But I will say this I am not a small guy by rider standards and my Jeffsy was probably the best out of the box bike I’ve ever had. Suspension worked flawlessly and again be over 200lbs squishy bikes can get annoying to pedal. I hope YT comes back and keeps making great bikes at good prices.

So this is an adapter to make an e-bike a real mountain bike? This is rife with irony. And the best stated use is to fly an e-bike somewhere? It’s an e-bike, everyone that jump at the chance to by them swore it was more laps “distance” less time “effort” couldn’t you just ride your e-bike wherever you’re going? Ride your e-bike there and rent a real bike for your lift assisted laps.

Honest question? If the hub is set to decouple and reengage allowing for different degree measurements how is this different from a hub with less pawls that offers a measurable distance to engagement? This seems like solutions to problems that aren’t really problems.

Or should we all look at the possibility of mulllet setups on single speeds with like a huge front wheel and a little rear wheel? maybe lets mount the cranks to the front hub? Leather spring seats? Racing can be done in wool knickers? The future looks bright my friends! And like the wheel the bike industry seems to be remaining circular.
