Pinkbike Poll: Hip Pack, Vest, or Backpack?
I think you must not have used very good packs. I don't want to trash vests because I suspect they are good, but my hip pack doesn't flop and it is not even close. That was my first fear when I bought it but it ended up being no biggie. Did you buy a pack at Walmart or do some shopping around?

Pinkbike Poll: Hip Pack, Vest, or Backpack?
I was a BIG backpack believer until I tried a hip pack. Now I only bring the backpack for the rare rides that require more than two bottles and I just don't have that much time very often.

RSD Bikes Announces Updated 2024 Range
The middle child is my dream hardtail. For awhile the wildcat was the FS I had in my sights. Still think about these bikes but unfortunately have not owned one yet.

Too bad the cables route through the headset. It might have sold really well.

To clarify, there is also a new version of the SL that is glossed over in this article or the SL is the same one it has been since 4 years ago?

Pinkbike Poll: Riser Bar or Extra Spacers Under the Stem?
Depends on the bike. Sometimes bikes have a rather long reach but since I like stack nice and tall I just use spacers. How this started was actually an accident. I bought a bike online and it came with 40mm of spacers. It looks ridiculous, but it rides great. I lowered the handlebar and it was a huge mistake. At this height the reach is closer to 475 than the 493 stock, which is a better fit and it's like having a 60mm riser, which I had used on previous bikes.

A Deeper Look At The Latest Trinity MTB Gravity Project
I really like the concepts however the system clearly needs to be mounted above the bb in the triangle (who knew out of the box thinking would be in a triangle instead!). I know this has a negative affect on bottles and will affect frame shape and integration a bit but I think it can be done and have the gear box still be modular. Besides as we go slacker a d slacker there is definitely potential for underside bottle mounting with special proprietary plastic guards that protect the bottle. The bike industry should be all over it.

Randoms Round 1 - Sea Otter 2024
I am a big salsa fan. I ride a salsa. I have encouraged others to buy salsa. When the ebikes were a little underwhelming I forgave them for it. But cable tourism, that is unforgivable. At least the e-Blackthorn, er moraine doesn't have it.
