This is an amazing transformation!!! Back in 2014 I was lucky enough to ride a mtb here for the first time. At the time there were no dedicated bike trails and they insisted that a guide was necessary - they literally did not allow you to take a bike onto the parsennbahn without one (Hikers were VERY annoyed)!! MTB riding was primarily XC riders going up to go down. (no thanks). I was super lucky to visit frequently: my parents (UK & Netherlands), met in Davos, so held a special place for them - over the years things slowly improved (I was allowed to ride there without a guide!), and some trails started to appear (no signs), you had to chat to the other riders you saw around to ask where to find them. The peak I got to enjoy was racing in the Swiss Bike masters, a mass start "enduro" race (before Enduro!), from the peak of the Weissfluhjoch to Kublis, roughly following the "Nostalgia Ski Run" - 12km of continuous DH...... Alpine riding is just on another level to anything I experienced in N America: Whistler Peak Chair to village is about the closest thing I can think of. I am happy that the town FINALLY realised that biking can be a big positive for the summer season and now has elevated to become a top tier bike destination! Hope I get to ride there again!
