I think I commented on your first article or one of the first. From what I cam remember (all the years ago) the writing was sublime and clearly your strong point. The images quickly came on though. Excellent work sir. Always nice to see you at the side of a track

UCI Snow Bike World Championships Returns in 2025 with One-Day Format
"Hey Ed, Yeah totally get that. I put it to the UCI comms manager "is it the case that track preservation was put above rider safety" the response was yes. I put the same story above to lapertient, he said he was annoyed that there was no practice. The cheating, the wee photoshop I done with scooby doo, that was one of the competitors tyres, considerably longer than 6mm. Every single rider I spoke to said their bikes had not been checked over. Obviously, when it comes to specific sources I will never name names and nor should I have to. Its a massive story pertaining to safety, cheating, a sports governing body and the olympics." Despite providing you directly with this... Like i said, spineless cheapskates. Pinkbike has fallen a long way since it was bought out. Still, keep us all entertained with proper entertaining articles like '7 things that didn't happen in the mountain bike industry this month'

UCI Snow Bike World Championships Returns in 2025 with One-Day Format
Interesting, pretty sure you claimed it wasn't as developed enough, which, I'm sure people will judge for themselves to be bullshit: "Hi, We’ve been reviewing the piece you submitted about the Snow Bike World Championships and sadly we will have to pass on this. There are some interesting ideas here but as a whole, the article is not as developed as we would normally want to be published on the homepage. Also, there is not enough support for some of the claims in the article for us to feel confident in having them published on the site. Sorry, we can't move forward on this. Thanks, Ed" To which you got the response: "Hey Ed, Its an article on a World Champs event, of which you proposed a budget of $150. How developed were you expecting said article to be? It has as much development as one could expect from the budget agreed. The typical pay used to be £300-350 per article. I am of the opinion that the quality of the content provided, more than exceeds the budget provided. In regards to "there is not enough support for some of the claims in the article for us to feel confident in having them published on the site." By "support" are you meaning evidence? I am well aware of UK law pertaining to Libel and can verify everything I have written. I look forward to your response." Spineless cheapskates, and I'm not talking about The UCI...

Pinkbike didn't have the stones to run the article I wrote but it's still here should anyone want an insight into things: https://www.pinkbike.com/u/charleyboy14/blog/2024-snow-bike-world-champs.html The glory days of when Karl and Radek used to own the site are long gone.
