@sino428: as alluded to with "fag packet maths", its fairly simple stuff. Now in regards to comparing PPV to monthy fee, again, simple stuff. The lifetime value of a WBD subscriber is about 1/5th as it is a Netflix subscriber (That's solely for you as a yank). So when you, as a broadcaster, are budgeting for content, you know what exactly the market value is for said content. Think boxing? was always a PPV, then DAZN broadcast on a monthly subscription. Netflix decide it's something they'll dip their toes into and broadcast some stuff. Again, thats not PPV, thats part of your subscription, but they know exactly the LTV of each new customer who subscribes for said event is worth.
