Review: Fezzari's 2019 La Sal Peak is a Fun & Modern All-Rounder
@hamncheez: well, their site says this "WHERE DO YOUR BIKE NAMES COME FROM? Almost all of our mountain bikes are named after some of our favorite riding areas. For example, the La Sal Peak is named after the mountain range overlooking the famous Moab trails. The company name Fezzari means "be in the moment." We believe in being in the moment in each encounter, each ride, and each experience." FYI - Fezzari doesn't translate to anything. https://www.deseretnews.com/article/865647166/Selling-bikes-the-new-fashioned-way.html "Chris's son Jordan was 11 years old at the time and came up with the name Fezzari when he blurted it out during a brainstorming session, having no idea, then or now, what it means (Jordan now works for his dad’s company while he’s attending college). Fezzari. Everyone liked the sound of it, and it stuck."

Review: Fezzari's 2019 La Sal Peak is a Fun & Modern All-Rounder
@jarrod801: I don't think the "La Sal" is the issue... rumor has it that the founder's kid literally picked it cause it sounded like "ferrari" and thought it sounded cool... pretty dumb in my opinion. The La Sal looks like a fun bike though.

@hamncheez: yeah... kinda insane actually for the Wasatch. A forecast for a foot of snow in the mountains means I might be skiing instead. Nice picture, also.

First Look: Cavalerie's Blackbird Carbon Gearbox Bike - Garda Trentino 2019
@Kainerm: I've ridden a Zerode with a Pinion for a few decent rides, I'm not saying this without experience with a gearbox. A trigger shifter is better for mountain biking. Once they get that as at least an option, I'd consider going that route, but currently the shifting method is worse and they're heavier. Not saying they're without upsides, but the downsides are going to hold them back from the masses till then I think.

First Look: Cavalerie's Blackbird Carbon Gearbox Bike - Garda Trentino 2019
@Kainerm: "commute on a pinion bike" - yeah fine for commuting but thats not smashing through rock gardens at speed. I want to be able to hold onto my grips without any shift mishap that'll occur. "Going back to a derailleur is like going back two decades in time" - You realize that roughly two decades (really three decades at this point) is when gripshifters were a thing. I want a gearboxes to be a thing, but they have some issues they still need to work out.

This is the first Gearbox I've seen with trigger shifting... Best thing I took away here. That's progress in itself.

Review: Specialized S-Works Recon Shoe
@Flowcheckers: I want a normal, summer option. Mid to low "normal" flat pedal shoe with good rubber and a boa system. There's dozens of options for clipless riders, you'd think some company would be brave enough to give it a shot!

Review: Specialized S-Works Recon Shoe
I've said it once and will say it again, wish there was a good Boa lace shoe with decent rubber for flats. Would buy that in a heartbeat.
