The New Orbea Rallon RS Almost Isn't An eMTB. Is That What Riders Want?
Transition Relay - for a few more pounds, you get a more powerful motor, maybe more efficient motor, and a larger battery. Plus you can take the battery out for park days. I know people have had some issues w/ Fazua Ride60 motor, but for me so far no issues.

First Ride: Orbea Rallon DH & Rallon EN
Surprised the article doesn't mention Vampire's Fastarossa (Canfield's new company) as a comparison. https://www.vampire.bike/products/fastarossa-frame

Canyon Issue a Stop Use Notice for the Spectral:ON CF & CFR, and Torque:ON CF eMTBs
Riding without a battery, is a feature, not a bug, assuming it pedals w little to no noticeable resistance without it When I go to a bike park w my Relay I take out the battery, and everything rides great. Have had a few no battery pedaling days on it too. Porky, but not that bad.

Having a removable battery is looking like a smart move (Transition Relay). If such an issue arises, it's easier to deal with.

Evil Insurgent Carbon Frame, Mullet, No Shock

$975 USD
* 2022 Evil Insurgent (mullet) * Size Medium, 460mm reach * 168mm travel * Headset included * takes 30.9 seatpost * includes lower shock mount bolt * rear axle included * oneup chainguide Has NO SHOCK (takes 205x65 trunion shock, 20x8mm lower, upper requires no through bolt/trunion). Rides very different from a typical 4 bar FSR-type suspension. It creates a platform that you can push off of much more easily, making it ride much livelier than any 170mm bike I've tried. This means it's not a "plow" bike, but that 170mm is still there to get you out of trouble. Very fun w/ berms, jumps, and just goofing around. Ride Wrapped from the start, but it does have a chipped area in the lower chainstay (see pic), an aftermarket bash guard hit against it w/out shock installed. Cosmetic, no cracks. Wheel rub marks on chainstay created when I rode down a mountain w/ a flat. I took off the wrap to show frame's true condition. Bearings feel smooth, tested w/out shock. https://www.evil-bikes.com/products/insurgent-ls?variant=40266255499329 Geo - see pics full specs - see pics
