Ellsworth Dare

$2250 USD
For sale is one of only two 2013 Ellsworth Dares made. It was originally to be Jack Readings World Cup frame, but he left the team before he was able to use it (has his name on the side). The frame is a large and has updated geometry that Ellsworth was planning to implement in their Dare lineup. It has a 63.5 degree head angle and a longer top tube so the rider is comfortable in the cockpit. This bike hauls on the downhill. It corners incredibly well, the low BB height makes you feel like you are hugging every corner and makes the ride extremely stable at high speed on the straight-aways. You can just point it in the direction you want to go through rock gardens and it floats over everything as if it weren't even there. Even though this thing feels amazing on the downhill, when you need to pedal, Ellsworth's ICT linkage is still working hard to maximize your pedaling efficiency. Even with a very plush spring it still pedals through the trails with ease. And, of course, it has that "Made in America" solid feel to it. I am the first owner and I have the paperwork for the frame. Specs: 2012 Manitou Dorado 2013 Fox DHX RC4 Kashima (350 lb spring, also have 450 lb) 2013 Shimano Zee cranks 2103 Shimano Zee Derailleur with shadow + 2013 Shimano Saint pedals 2012 Shimano XT brakes MRP G2 chaing guide Mavic 787 Disc Wheels (these things are insanely solid. only have to true once a year) Loaded ceramic bearing headset Loaded Pistol grips Comes with Fox Kashima DHX RC4 (350lb spring, also have 450lb), Loaded Headset, and through axle If you like Ellsworth, then you appreciate that they are unique and not for everyone. However, if you have ever ridden an Ellsworth, you understand the amazing ride these bikes are capable of and this DH frame is for you. Being one of two 2013 frames, this Ellsworth is even more unique and special than the rest.
