Pinkbike Poll: Do You Change Tires For Winter Riding?
Front consistency is key, currently I usually run Assegai all year almost on all my bikes. Washing out on front sucks. no matter what conditions.
But rear i swap to faster in summer, consistency is not as important it can be calculated. Depending on bike this usually is a dissector, aggresssor or forcaster II swap.
So speed over a little loss of traction in rear is ok. I can tell a difference in speed with a a faster tire when approaching jumps and you don't need to pedal as much you just sail over doubles or tables more easily.
Mostly in maxxis camp I know, hard to get away from what you know.

Pinkbike Poll: How Big Are Your Favourite Flat Pedals?
Spank Oozy! I also have many chromag pedals. Bu the Oozy for some reason produces an in the bike feel, it's got to be ground clearance/pedal clearance; they are very slim pedal. It makes me feel more apart of the bike then other pedals.

brand loyalist when it comes to repairs, when i got a whole stable and my family's bikes and do my own repairs having everything shimano helps a ton. brake fluid, derailleurs cassettes, bleed kits, pads etc being able to swap slx,xt,xtr parts, same goes with hubs; just stick with dt swiss 350 on dozen plus wheels.
but when it comes to pretty much anything else it probably does not matter its what fits right

PNW smoke and fires, seems like every year mid august to mid sept the smoke from fires can make it unbearable.
I have switched my riding from heading east to heading west towards the coast line late summer.

Best freaking high top flats!! I will have to get another pair before their gone.
I pretty much go back and forth between these and Vans SK8 BMX edition(has to be BMX, normal vans flex way to much on the pedal). Decision usually depends on how how long the ride is and if i want some flex around the pedal.

Pinkbike Poll: Which Tech Trends Are In Your Riding Future?
i'm interested in a gearbox on a hardtail and if it would give similar sensation as a SS, i have never rode one.. but would think it probably has too much drag on the system, but still curious
Otherwise considering a gearbox and the addition of a tensioner on full sup just makes me think a derailleur is sufficient .
also interested in more 3d printed parts on metal frames ht and fs, slight weight reduction and unique solutions to frame design and suspension linkage
