Pinkbike Poll: How Reliable Are Modern Mountain Bikes?
It would have been fascinating to see how many of the failures were on complete bikes versus a custom bike. Aside from creaking CSU's, pretty easy to build up a relatively light and durable bike with smart decisions and enough money. Wheels are an excellent example.

Race Face Announces New Atlas Flat Pedals
A lot. Flats are way more personal preference than clip-in pedals. More like grip, saddle, or shoe and less like a mechanical component. My flats are one of the very last things I'd be willing to switch.

Race Face Announces New Atlas Flat Pedals
@snl1200: Agreed, although I think people new to the sports don't have the same terror of anything CB that most of us do. I never understood how they stayed in business.

PNW Components Releases Loam Pedals
@orphan: they are excellent for gravity riding. The pins are really long and sharp. FWIW, I'd recommend, speaking in Five Ten, Impacts over Freeriders and, for park days or really gnarly shuttle days, I'd consider a knee pad that also provides some shin protection. Slipping a pedal and really catching a pin with your shin will likely mean stitches. I run Scarabs and Freerider Pros on the trail bike and Daggas and Impacts on my big bike and am very content.

Pinkbike Poll: Has Your Shock Ever Failed?
Pretty sure you're not legit "downcountry" until you've destroyed at least two DPS's.

Pinkbike Poll: Has Your Shock Ever Failed?
And doesn't Exhibit A start with an "S" and end with a lawsuit?

Pinkbike Poll: Has Your Shock Ever Failed?
Agreed and always lap up and appreciate their knowledge. But I laughed at "making the case" and "interesting" in the article. Does anybody seriously think long yokes and poorly aligned trunnions are not causing problems with shocks? I thought that was well accepted truth at this point.
