Sep 20, 2023Geometron G19 Fox40 hope
$2100 CADAbsolute DH weapon for sale, but arthritis in my hands is forcing a very reluctant sale. Bike park, shuttling it's an incredible bike. Geometron/ Nicolai were and are ahead of the game when it comes to frame geometry, everyone else is catching up. Beautiful raw aluminium with massive welds, cleans up really easily and can take a beating. Huge bearings mean a long life. The bike is very nimble, very poppy but if you put your head down will crush descents at speed. It has a flip chip in the stays to alter between slack and less slack and I put in an angleset headset to reduce the rake by 1 degree to get more steering input but you can set it to neutral or really rake it out if you want.
It's currently set up as a single speed as I like to have a less cluttered cockpit. I just got new BB bearings instealled and new Turbine cranks, I haven't put the new chain on yet.
If you're not into Hope Brakes then I can swap out for Code RSCs.
Forks and shock were serviced at the end of last season and the bike has only been ridden 7 times after that - new wiper seals were added in.
New bottom bracket and turbine cranks. Pedals are Chromag Contacts but I could be persuaded to swap them for Mallet E clipless. There are a few small nicks in the fork stanchion but these were professionally appraised during the service and at worst could be filled with nail polish but do not affect the seals at all.
I have a spare set of shock mount bolts and a set of bushings from Geometron which will save you picking them up, but spares are really easy to get from the UK from Geometron.
Fox 40 kashima - HSC, LSC, Rebound
Vivid R2C shock with 350lb coil - beginning and end stroke rebound, LSC - I also have a 400lb coil available. Bought in 2020 to replace an old X2.
Brakes - Hope Tech3V4, 220mm front rotor, 180mm rear rotor
Front Wheel - Hope Pro4 hub, We are One Union rim, Cushcore Pro, Magic Mary
Rear Wheel - Hope Pro 4 Hub, HG Driver, Hope Fortus rim, Cushcore Pro, DHR2
Renthal bars, deathgrip grips, BRAND NEW bottom bracket, Turbine Cranks
I will not post the bike, but I can meet anywhere reasonable.
I will trade for an enduro bike in the 160-170 travel range - let me know.
