It's a bit like modern cars, everything just gets moved one notch up the model ladder: like BMW the 2-series is the old 3, the new 3 is the old 5 etc. Everything get's bigger, heavier and more capable – not more real-world "fun", IMHO. Looks like the Intense Spider is the new Tallboy. Maybe. Definitely way better looking..

First Look: Zoceli Rutina - A 115mm Steel XC Bike With Progressive Geometry

I ride something very similar, custom made from Egerie Velo, but single pivot: 105/120mm, 65 HA, 78 StA, 440 CS, 450mm reach, tall riser etc. Pretty light, for what it is, super peppy and poppy (I did put on carbon wheels) – makes all the local mellow trails feel fun and efficient, especially for the 1-2 hours, after work, dad-rides. Eliminates the need for an overkill e-bike. I call it BMXC. Highly recommend going short (travel), steel and fun geometry.
