@torero: always being a lame ass troll... I'm NOT a Semenuk fan, but this edit and his riding is amazing, progressive, and great to watch. You're just a troll, please crawl back under your bridge and stay there. AWESOME edit!!!!
Basically my take away is large air to bar spin to massive manual at mega speed is a thing if your a Sem like creature. Also leaving the music out to here the rawness of this track being destroyed is the best move ever.
I've always loved rooting for the underdog in competition. So over the years of
Following the FMB I was
Rooting for the upset. But this video changes that. Long
Live the Don.
Eh, I don't know it was an awesome edit but in my opinion the cinematography was more impressive then the riding itself. Don't get me wrong I was just as surprised as anyone else on that whip ro late tail whip, but other then that there was really nothing that impressive, not saying I could do any of it, but compared to some of the edits other pros are putting out, it just wasn't up to par. People freak out whenever they see the name brandon semenuk.
But seriously, this guy consistently makes vids that are "go-to" when trying to get non bikers excited about our sport. Also thanks to all those involved. Greatness.
Hahaha damn I've always been afraid to say that about rheeder. Backflip can off drops was semenuks thing for a while there, first trick I noticed about rheeder going after his exact trick bag.
It is very rare that athletes transcend competition, and for that matter their chosen discipline or sport. Brandon Semenuk has achieved this, not just once, but many times over. To say Brandon is an over achiever is an understatement. The combination of both Brandon and Rupert is proving to be unstoppable, they are changing the action sport game, continually... Congratulations to Brandon, Rupert, and of course the tireless support crew that gave us the opportunity to once again witness MTB history, in the making, cheers!!
when you are so good that it looks like you are goofing around doing the most insane maneuvers on two wheels. Fuck Brandon, you make us look bad. freaking bicycle scientist.
When all the riders are about huge flip combos and spinning as many times they can, but you are Brandon Semenuk and redefine the game with a whip and tailwhip. On the same jump.
Insane video, like his uncutted unreal segment. This is advertising for the bike sport in general. And it´s good for a quick wake up in the morning when you watch it the first time :-)
Normally don't comment on videos........ what? did he....? he didnt...? he did....! This is seriously amazing. The sounds and shots are forcing me to watch this over and over. Where is my boss.... uhhh boss, I cant hide this on my screen I need you to see this.
A cheesy comment maybe, but this video has resparked a whole load of enthusiasm for riding and chucking a bike through the air.
After a year with a fair few injuries (including a broken bone on two separate occasions) learning to jump, I'd lost the fire and was looking to sell my bike....but seeing stuff like this gets me super excited to get back on that bike.
It's 0752 here... filming hot girls in bikinis all day, followed by Gordon Ramsey making me dinner for the queen coming around... the rest of my day is gonna be crap compared to 0750 to 0752.
Who else wants to buy some land and make some amazing jumps like that... then learn to ride 10% line that.
That bar spin to manual was so smooth I almost didn't notice he was doing it. Freaking unreal.
Watching this dude scrub and push through turns and what not... I'm curious if he could transition in to dh and be competitive. Seems like with focused training and the proper bike... which I'm sure Trek would jump at building for him...
as a bmx racer, I try and jump like a mountain biker - as a mountain biker, i try and ride like a bmx racer. Now this video has got me all confused and i don't know what to do as I'll never be able to imitate what i just saw. Yes. Video of the Year.
Every time there's a new segment with Semenuk in it, I stop and watch. And comment. He IS undoubtedly the best MTB (excluding competitive DH) athlete in the world. Cold blooded, merciless, smooth as silk and precise like a freaking nanometer microscope, It's truly unbelievable the talent this guy has. I hold huge respect to those other epic freestyle riders, but, and I'm afraid to say so, their time is almost due. They made Semenuk realize to what he is today and I'm sure he appreciates that. However, when you look for progression nowadays, it's all Semenuk and a bunch of other younger guys chasing and following his footsteps. All hail Semenuk.
Those guys are jacked and silly quick out the gate. Like, much more power than most cyclists period. would need to add a massive gym routine to get to that level of power. Let him kill it where he shines, we don't need a jacked up Semenuck
During the video I was like yeeeehh the usual brandon edit. Sofisticated, super stylish pro whatever...but that last trick made me spit my coffe non the less!!! What the heck!!!!! He basically invented a new combo!!! Out of this world!!! It was already a late whip! How on earth did he manage to squeeze another trick into that?
Walker and semenuks style compliment each other too well! I haven't made that noise whilst watching a video since I first saw Robbie bourbons huge flat spin on NWD all those years ago.
Wow. Not sure what to say. By the end, my jaw was stuck open and I was drooling like a baby. Much like how his riding makes my riding feel.... Absolutely breathtaking!!!! Literally the most steezy style points in the fucking world. So smooth, the last 2 were my favorite and unimaginable even in my wildest dreams!!!!
Sem' has no equal. I'll agree with the statement that he's an artist using a bike as his brush. Great analogy.
When I watch a Sem' edit what I see is a magician with a bike for a magic wand. There's an art to it, but shit just don't look like it's even possible in reality. The guy just does it like no other. I mean just that f*ckin' scrub @ the fitty mang! Fvckin' whip to whip? Don't even get me started! Ô.o
DAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAMN! f*ck You. Now i can quit riding because i obviously can´t ride..
its funny how music adds drama to almost everything... tried mixing up one of my favorite songs wich are usually 2 min or longer but i found that one song that is exactly 1:40 min or 100 sec long.... perhaps everything that is give to us to enjoy, is never long enough to learn how to apreciate it... in case you want to mix it up with the song i had in mind : Jon Hopkins - Small Memory
I can't even do that in a friggin video game! Redonculous!!!! Most movies make me jones for a ride.... this one puts me in a spiritual place of happiness and gobsmacked wonder!
It's slightly deflating in a way, for all those hours/days/years, sweating/bleeding/aching, nervy/scared/shaking................ you'll NEVER be that good !!!!!
I had to come back for a repost after getting below thresholded. Again, after rewatching this video; it baffles me that everyone thinks this is the Holy Grail of Videos. My suggestion to everyone; stop drinking the Coolaid !!

Great riding but the hyperactive Ronin shots and fast jump cutting made me feel like I was fighting against the cameraman to see what was going on instead of enjoying what Brandon was showing us. The point of raw is that the riding speaks for itself, this gave me a headache!

Totally worth a night on the couch.
Coming soon to a contest near you: Rheeder learns the same trick three months later.

Then I saw you-know-what and quietly muttered "what the f*ck..."
