you can get a 2-piston 612 FM Caliper, Trickstoff Piccola FM, Formula Cura 2, Magura MT8, Hope, Shimano MTB and whatever shimano offers in dropbar-flavor works with the mtb levers, too.

friction/overall force and feel will be almost identical, or at least quite similar.
I see the main difference/main advantage for 4-caliper design and bigger pads in long demanding descents
Guide RE is the Code caliper paired with Guide lever.
