There a number of reasons we are having the demo at Maxwell. Permitting restrictions, proximity to store, length of trail. We applied for these permits months ago with the intention to spread them over several trailheads but permits are being restricted to only two “demo permits” per company and only our first two applications were approved. Horsetooth is certainly the best place for an extended demo but it’s tough to ride many trails there in under an hour which limits the availability of bikes to other riders. Trek no longer has a Factory Demo program so this demo is facilitated by the 3 Trek locations around Fort Collins. The good news is these bikes are always available for demo at the store. Drop by, grab a bike for 24 hours and take it to your favorite trail! If you have any questions send me a PM.
