Video: Elite Winning Runs from the Les Gets DH World Cup 2024
I thought we were going to see Farina's winning run. But instead, we get the first ten seconds and the last sixty of a 4:10 run. The coverage is a joke. All the riders deserve better. Especially considering there were no Juniors.

Must Watch: Elite Men's Winning Run POV from the Les Gets DH World Cup 2024
There were a lot of times Amaury moved out of the normal line. It may have been only by an inch or two. But he is always looking for even the smallest advantage that as we see adds up to big winning margins. Another thing I think is key for him. He is always in attack position even when hammering the pedal.

The Actual Weights of 18 Enduro World Cup Bikes
How many have added inserts just for some form of insurance without knowing if they would actually be prone to flats without them? Have we really made advances in rim and tire issues from 20+ years ago? These wheel, insert and tire combos must way more than my Mavic 729's with Michelin Comp 32's did.

Video: Why Racers Can't Let Go of These 'Outdated' Rims - Leogang DH World Cup 2024
The bigger questions is: Why does Henry think the DT Swiss EX 471 is outdated? Is he just a slave to marketing and the need to talk about what is new just to keep his job. If they work, they work. Something better to talk about is how have we ended up with inserts. The industry wants us to believe there are better solutions only to introduce two new problems by solving one problem. We need to return to tubular tires with the insert built/sewn in.

Bike Check: Jack Moir's Steering Damper Equipped YT Capra - Finale Ligure EDR World Cup 2024
The steering damper provides and adjustable resistance moving away from center and no resistance back to center. The tech comes from aerospace. Tim Hopey applied it to the bike industry www.hopey.org But Tim has closed his doors and now www.pademelon.cc has stepped in. Back in the early and mid 2000's there were bike brands that actually had the post mount built in/welded to the top tube so the base plate would not have to be installed under the headset.

Interviews: Inside the Privateer Pits - Fort William World Cup DH 2024
The size of the pits for the factory teams are way out of hand. Cut the size available to the factory and big teams in half. That includes the number of people the max should be like 20 people. I would also put a limit of two riders per category. Each year we see more and more of a gap between the factory teams and the privateer. This has been a problem in every form of racing and for the success of the sport it needs to be reined in.

How Tight? Examining the UCI's Clothing Rules for DH Racing
I watched the Fox video and they clearly stated that their new suit was UCI legal. But they also stated that it was not available to other than their team riders. The UCI rules clearly state that the clothing must be "sold". It will be interesting how this plays out. If it is not available to any and everybody it should not be legal.
