Video: No Storyline Just Practice Bangers | Red Bull Rampage 2025
@N-60: Yeah I agree - stitching together insane natural features as a longer run, with several riders taking over a forested zone would be the goal, but filming that as an event would be challenging.
I remember during covid when Eric BCPOV was building a trail that was the lower section of a longer trail with different builders. The guys building the parts before him had little contact with Eric. Although there was a general prior agreement on the style and nature of the trail, he was free to build what he wanted.
Doing that kind of event would be amazing in Freeride. Finding a zone large enough to give each rider a section of a bigger trail, then they all ride the whole thing. You could do this in an established area, just by using some undeveloped part of it - imagine having a month to contribute to a new trail down Whistler in an undeveloped zone. That is something that has infrastructure and could potentially be an event.

Video: No Storyline Just Practice Bangers | Red Bull Rampage 2025
Seeing someone else hit that battleship gap makes me want to see an event for gnarly freeride guys like Fairclough and Brage. Rampage isn't quite it because it's scoring revolves around tricks and style rather than more natural terrain and technical riding. We need a Tour de Gnar type thing with more camera coverage. I mean it's nice to see Rampage again, but it's not really 'freeride' anymore when they keep going back to old sites.

Video: Jakob Hartman Explores the Digital vs. Analog Divide Through Bikes
Love it. As someone who works in front of computers all day and struggles for balance, I very much get this. The 'digital' section with it's noise and artifact intrusions feels very much like a rushed after work ride in my local woods. The 'analog' section feels more open, relaxed, and pure - like riding on a road trip out of town, fully decompressed and detached from the computer.

My 2017 NS Fuzz in blue with the oilslick anodized grips and stem is still one of my favourite bikes. I just wish I had more places to justify taking it.
All the best NS - your bikes are always so stylish!
