Norco Sasquatch Small — New Frame+

$2400 CAD
2015 Norco Sasquatch, Like New (Small) - brand-new size small frame (warranty replacement this week; never ridden) - major season service 2 weeks ago - brakes bled - new cassette, chain, brake pads - rebuilt clutch - complete fork service including seals - carbon bar (Easton) - chain rings upgraded to Shimano (not new this year; protected by Ring God) - Shimano brakes (original Guides catastrophically failed) - Wrathchild 5 front, Dillinger 4 rear both studded (like new; mould nubs still on tires) — fresh tubeless - Marge Lite wheel set — one Hope hub and one Salsa convertible - custom insulated gas tank bag from Becker Designs in Alaska Bike is at Bikeland in Barrie. I work in frontline COVID-19 work in public health, so they are helping me by holding it there. Easier for people to see and test than coordinate with my schedule. $2,400. This is as close to a new bike as you can get. It’s 2x10. Selling because I shattered my kneecap two years ago. I was able to ride it a little last winter. I tried to ride it once this year and I can’t. It just hurts way too much. It also hurts my heart to consider selling because of what selling it represents. Ordering pedal assist.

Mid-fat 29er Stans Flow-Ex wheelset for 150/170

$450 CAD
These wheels were used for a season and a half. They are in great shape -- just the usual marks from riding. Ridden by a light female rider whose style is XC/flowy -- no jumps, drops or hucks. Details: Stans ZTR Flow-Ex Rims -- strong, fast and light. Salsa Convertible 2 hubs in purple ano -- set up 150 front and 170 QR with Shimano driver (XD driver and XD QR cap also included). The rear can be converted to 177 thru axle with a cap kit from a Salsa dealer (not included). Hubs run smooth. Shimano CS-HG81-10 cassette used lightly for a few months Maxxis Ardent EXO TR 29 x 2.4 60tpi set up tubeless -- the tires were put on new in June 2018 and used lightly until October. These wheels make your fatty a speed machine. The only reason for selling is the purchase of a bike for summer, so we don't need these wheels anymore. Someone else deserves the fun! Will ship in Canada at buyer's expense. Texts OK. Please don't call at late hours. I am in the Eastern time zone. Thanks!

Falling Leaves and Upsizing Tires - Season Change in Ontario’s Cottage Country
@JesseE: If you hike Torrance Barrens, you'll spend EVERY moment wishing you had a bike. A fat bike is amazing there because of the several water-filled holes and mucky edges. You MUST ride it. And I believe they just got federal funding to replace several boardwalks come spring. It's fantastic!

1 Question - What Product, Event or Trend has had the Greatest Effect Upon the Sport this Millennium?
Fat bikes have allowed people who live in areas of heavy snowfall to ride (effectively) in all four seasons. I can now go places and do things that I wouldn't have dreamed about doing on a "skinny" mountain bike. And they have allowed both riders and manufacturers to satisfy our innate n+1 approach to bicycle ownership :)

Rocky Mountain Vapor

$575 CAD
2013 Rocky Mountain Vapor size medium. Purchased Labour Day weekend and ridden just a few times before snow flew (and twice on ice with the Ice Spiker tires I have listed separately). And then I bought a fat bike. This bike hasn't been ridden since. It's never seen singletrack nor has it been jumped -- it was only ever ridden on rail trails and other similar wide, cinder paths. This bike is nimble and quick, and is a great entry-level mountain bike for someone 5-5 to 5-11. It's pretty much stock, but I've added new Gusset bmx (flat) pedals, a Sigma 5-12 computer and a set of front and back fenders to keep road spray from giving you a skunk tail or filthy legs. The bike was $800 new and those accessories were another $100. I'd like $575 obo. I work in Mississauga/Brampton, so I can meet you there during the week. Otherwise I live SW of Barrie/NW of GTA. My loss is your gain. I love this bike, but I would have never bought it if I'd known how much fun fat biking is. Here are some of the bike's features: - hydraulic Shimano brakes (they stop on a dime) - 100 mm front suspension with lockout (to let you ride more effectively on the road) - Cane Creek headset - WTB tires (26x2.0) This is a gorgeous bike. Drop me a line and let's chat.
