With Crankworx's usual range of events across all disciplines, you can expect to see some of the World's best riders go head to head. The King and Queen competitions and Triple Crown are all on the line as we go into the final stop of 2022 with Bas Van Steenbergen and Jordy Scott holding the top spots so far.

Here's everything you need to know about one of the last big events of the year.

Did anyone proof and post this?

 Literally nothing gets proofed here.

@pisgahgnar: It often seems like the comma key is rigged up to both the grid and the writer's genitalia. Fortunately, the urge for a quick electric thrill occasionally overcomes them. I say remove the clamps.

Szymon Godziek is out of the Slopestyle event. He crashed riding pumptrack a few days ago and cut up his hand and knee/shin. Had to get a bunch of stitches at the base of one of his fingers. Posted some gnarly pics on his Facebook page. Lukas Knopf is in I guess now.

 What about emil?
  • 2 0
@Carshop: Emil should be good to go per his social media post yesterday.

Ah, bummer. Wild to think about how a guy can backflip a 75 foot gap and land safely but somehow sustain a legit injury on a pumptrack.

@ripridesbikes: I guess it's frequency vs. consequence. You can ride & crash on a pump track regularly your entire life, but if you flip that canyon gap once. If you crash you're lucky if you get a chance to crash anything again.

Under Lukas' latest video someone wrote the same as you did and asked if he will go on a flight to NZ but he won't so I guess there will be another alternative rider...

Can't even imagine what folks are paying for flights to get there. Flight prices are crazy these days. Hope everyone shows...
  • 2 0
Amazingly my flight to NZ this year is nearly half the price I paid in 2015 and 2019. Under £900, I couldn't believe the price as I was expecting it to be considerably more expensive than those years where I paid around £1500.

2 DH events? What's the difference between the Rockshox Rotorua Downhill & Crankworx Rotorua Taniwha Downhill?

Is Taniwha kiwi for Air DH?
  • 1 0
Taniwha is the DH track at redwoods, so there is no air DH this year. Taniwha also means a water monster.
  • 2 1
Maybe I'm a selfish jerk, but I'd love an Aus live stream time. We even have a crankworx stop here.
