Pinkbike Poll: How Big Are Your Favourite Flat Pedals?
I like Deity Deftraps the best. I wear size us 11.5 and I feel like the balls of my feet are secure in the concave portion of the pedal through fast rough terrain and they are wide enough when I need to haphazardly throw my foot on a pedal without looking there's a really good chance it will end up in a "ridable" position which is nice when you don't have much of a run up.
They absolutely shred my shoes though which is getting to be kind of annoying.

5 New SPD Trail & DH Pedals Tested: Can Anyone Beat Shimano?
Yeah I get that too. I have only spent real time on a low end VP branded SPD XC style pedal but I tried different shoes with them and I always had numbness and weird pressure. Not to mention the fact that no matter how far back I slid the cleats, I always felt like I was up on my toes. my calfs would be smoked after a ride that had any notable amount of descending.
I once attempted to use a crankbrothers mallet but I couldn't get over the bizarre floating on ice feeling so I never tried them on the trail.
Every couple of years I get the urge to try again. Maybe I will try a different pedal next time.

I just lied to fit in but I do plan to swap bars this summer for a little more rise and I might even consider switching to Cabron Fiber!

Surly Expands Their Trail Bike Lineup With the Sorceress Hardtail
Mildly similar to a custom frame I used to ride. Super fun and versatile but at this price point why not custom order a much cooler build from a small brand?
That being said, I am always happy to see new steel bikes hit the market.

Pinkbike Poll: Do You Even Ride Park?
One day I will ride park. Probably the biggest turn off for me is the notoriously long lift lines at Northstar. I've never been so I can't say exactly how bad it is but I really don't like being around that many people in any setting and would rather ride my bike in the woods with a handful of friends.
