Staff Rides: Matt Beer's Nukeproof Giga 297
Nice ride! I've been riding with mt5s for years and one of the first things I did was go for the mt7 pad system. It's so much easier to work on and I feel like their are more pad choices as well. This year I decided to give shigura a go using current xt levers. It's a bit fiddly to set up but so far I'm really liking the power curve.

I live in PA and I see Cannondales everywhere. I see scalpels, hard tails, and a lot of Habits. Those are popular around my home trails.

Formula Introduces 2-Piece Lever With Increased Adjustability
@Balgaroth: I have mt5s now paired with shimano xt levers. The power is excellent but the first thing I did even before that was switch to the mt7 pad system. It's so much easier to work on. I never had issues with the original mt5 levers either.

Opinion: Five Things The Bike Industry Could Do Better
Standards. The other side of that are the tiny amount of us who willingly ride old bikes. I have a modernized 05 Cannondale Prophet and finding a half decent external dropper for a 27.2 post diameter was a bitch. The 1x11 worked fine despite the weird chain line. I went with a mod and did a 27.5 conversion. Finding a 27.5 x 135mm wheelset with rims wider than my pinky was impossible. I'm too poor to custom build atm... But! It's a single pivot so bearing swaps are stupid easy!

Poll: How Do You Actually Feel About Cable Routing?
My ancient 05 Cannondale Prophet has the derailleur cable routed through the swingarm with no guides. It can be a pain but I've replaced the cable and housing enough times that it's no big deal. So if that's the case then I feel like it wouldn't be hard at all to learn and do full internal routing with guides. The rear brake would be the only one that would annoy me there. Through the headset? No thankee. I can think of a couple of other places that routing things might be more fun for some depending on what they're into.
