Review: 2019 Swarf Contour 29 - A Hard-Charging Short Travel Fully
I am American and I use both imperial and metric as needed. I like the metric system much better. Groups of 10 etc make more sense than odd ball conversions. The obvious one for bikes are travel and geo numbers. I don't do math. I just memorize conversions. Ex: my bike has 140mm of travel or 5.5 inches rounded to the nearest 10th place. 150mm = 5.9" 160mm = 6.3" 170mm = 6.7" etc. 25.4mm = 1 inch fyi. So 140mm รท 25.4mm = 5.5118110236 according my calculator app. Round to 5.5. PITA. We should teach both systems in US schools if they don't already.

Red Bull Denied Drink Exclusivity on the Podium and Hot Seat in Maribor
So basically Redbull is taking pages from Apple and Specialized's Dick Move Playbooks. When I was still drinking energy drinks my fuel of choice was NOS. It came in cans or bottles with the NOS colors like the boost stuff for cars. Add vodka... Anyway screw this. Yes they're the main sponsors and do a lot for the sport but its shit to do this and cut out other drinks that sponsor riders.

Bike Check: Dan Atherton's Prototype 29er DH Bike
Let them ride that straight to the podium then maybe people will quit with the armchair engineering. It says it's still a prototype in the article so of course it looks like one. It's still a dw design so no surprise it looks like other dw bikes with that similar lay out. Yes it's the same people who started Robot bike co. The Athertons either bought rm partnered with em or whatever. So naturally it looks like a Robot bike. It's a different way to make a bike. It looks odd but I'm sure the lugs work fine and wont magically deglue at speed. Ots not like they have a qc r&d testing department right?

First Ride: RockShox's Updated Lyrik and New Deluxe Shock
So would that magnet option work well for regressive single pivot designs? Specifically and older Cannondale Prophet. I do have a Dirtlabs tuned monarch with a high/low comp rebound tune. Also is there a way to run a coil with a design like that? Love Rockshox stuff.

Orbea Unveils 2019 Enduro Team Bikes
What's with all the weird ass colorways? To each their own but geez give me black, red, and medium to dark blue. Those would be my privateer colors.

Cannondale returning to DH? It better not just be a clone of the GT Fury. I doubt it but we will see. I'd bet that it will be called either the Fulcrum or the Judge. They've brought back a few old model names like Jekyll and Gemini. I'm waiting for a new bike called the Prophet. Love my 05. Many upgrades on it and many plans for more. They've got an interesting team line up too.

Pinkbike Poll: Would You Rather... Make Your Choices for 2019
I'll take new school skills and an old school bike. Why? Because all I can afford is a 2005 Cannondale Prophet. Nothing even close to stock on it though. Skills include slow mo endos, cornering like a dump truck, climbing like a wheezy goat, and fun in a flying meat wagon. Where do I sign?
